About
I’m a senior user experience designer at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where I have lead design for new technology development projects across the mission lifecycle.
At my studio, I work with early stage startups and research labs to mature their UX and bring research ideas to life. My clients have included UC Berkeley, Cornell University, and i-Tech.
I received a Master’s in Information Management and Systems at UC Berkeley and interned at Amazon.com.
I live in Los Angeles California. I’m interested in anything at the intersection of technology, art, and nature including native plant gardening, hydroponics, science illustration, and data visualization.
Inspiration
Animation
As part of my art degree, I created a short animated film in a group of other animators, concept artists, and writers. I loved the experience of bringing a project to life as a team, and since then I have kept the craft and the joy in my life through classes and my hobbies.
As a UX designer, I see animated film as the most essential form of user experience. All designers can learn from the visual and storytelling techniques used in film to make compelling and understandable flows for users in any context.
Nature
While I work on tools that support exploring other planets in our solar system and beyond, I love Earth the most. I am excited about ways to improve our lives and our relationship with nature.
